Round 8: Day 25

GUYS! I did forget. I thought my go was on Sunday. I’m currently housesitting for Vanessa(very important that the rabbit has companionship otherwise his lady charming skills will build up and women everywhere  will be endangered. The rabbit, the toad and I are living like foul bachelors) and am using the dial ups on her ibook and has no camera or nuffin.

This is an IOU for 1xcomic, which is drawn, but has no way of getting onto the interwebs, due to forgetting. OH THE SHAME. I can upload it on Sunday. The shame…

I think the colour on this page is Esther’s – she’s one and a half. It was already on the page when I started the comic.

I posted this last night but I wasn’t happy with it, so this morning I snuck into Photoshop and rearranged the panels. I think it’s better now.

Round 08: Day 22

Of course I learned to love the Mountain Goats but I still maintain that this particular song could be used as a defence for homicide in a court of law: ‘But your honour, he was playing ‘We Have Seen the Enemy’ really loudly and I was in an enclosed space!’ Go listen to it if you don’t believe me. Yeah, it starts off fine – JUST YOU WAIT!

Incidentally, the only other song that has the same effect on me is The Yip Song by Robyn Hitchcock (whose other songs I also really love).

Anyway, back to Strath Creek. I can’t remember the date that we went on this drive but it was pretty special and remarkably well documented.

And of course, the lovely Marky went on to write a beautiful song about that day.

Ah yes. We’ve had no power in our house since last night. No electrickery means no modem. We’ve got a workaround now, so here I am, a day late but still here. Colouring credit for this one goes to my 3yo daughter Oonagh. Our first online artistic collaboration!
