    If we believe Chomsky’s idea of a generative or ‘universal’ grammar then cuneiform (derived from pictographs) is ultimately decipherable. What you’re doing is in a sense, asserting that written language can be decoded as a sequence of symbols – a comic strip. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuneiform_script

    Conlang enthusiasts have worked on languages that have no phonic link, I’m particularly intrigued by Blisssymbols. Each sentence is a comic!
