    Strangely a friend of mine had his nose bitten by someone who smashed the door down to our house in North Fitzroy in 1988. Afterwards we referred to the person who did it as the “nosebiter”.

    early colonial rhinoplasty funnies… i guess now norfolk islanders settle things by repeatedly running people over in their cars, back and forth. (that was actually a kiwi working on norfolk).

    After being here on this barrier island i can see how this is a kind of conflict resolution that islands seem to bring out in people.

    meant to post earlier that i liked the (newish) chunky style hoover komiks. So solid, so much poetry. Good weight-bearing komiks.

    You read a lot of history. As do I. I was always fascinaed by the fact he you played Ned Kelly in a television re-enactment and you popped a can of sardines( or something fishy) in your pocket, cos ned kept his bullets in one.
